PC Advice

Post by Atavarius »

Since I get my tax return tommorrow I decided to build a new comp. Figured I would post here for any advice.

Mobo: Asus K8NE

CPU: AMD 64 3000+

Mem: Crucial Ballistix 184-Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200

Sound: Creative Audigy 2 ZS

HDD: Seagate 250GB SATA

Case: Aspire

Vid Card (have a 6800 GT already), Monitor, DVD/CD drive, and Speakers are all not needed. Would like to keep it under $800. Any suggestions?

If you go with Corsair Value Select memory you could get twice the RAM for just $20 more.

Also, do you already have a heatsink for the CPU? If not, if you go with the retail box, you'll get a decent heatsink/fan as well as a warranty.
