Jedi Outcast troubles.

Post by Crazedwraith »

Ok I get Jedi outcast. The Anylse button says my comuters fine for playing it. Yet when I actually start it the mouse becomes more or less uncontroll able on the main menu and when I finally manage to click the new game button, it took over half an hour trying to load it befire i finally quit it.

Is my comp just to shit or what? Help!

You probably have a problem with your mouse drivers. Is it by any chance an optical, wireless, or otherwise unusual? Because Outcast seems to be very tempermental with any little hardware/driver issues.

Then that might be a problem, try looking for some new drivers if you can. As I said, Jedi Outcast can be particular about stuff like that.

As for the excessive load time, you're probably running at or below the minimum resource requirements. There is a difference between your system specs and what you have available. Windows rot and all that can push a computer below the minimum, and for an old computer it won't take much. With taking a look that's my best guess.

Mainly, lower the texture resolution, especially if it is set to "very high", it can cause a lot of problems.
