Star Trek: Starfleet Command 3 question.....

How do I take over a contested (neutral) sector? I've destroyed the planet's defences twice over and even transported marines onto the planet but after every successful mission on that sector, it still doesn't become mine. How do I do it?

You're supposed to keep reducing the contested sectors defense until it flips. Could be a bug.
Is the planet neutral, or colored?
And make sure there are no enemy shipyards on it.

The sector is in the "neutral\contested" area. The sector originally had a defense of 40 but after my first victory against that sector the defense dropped to 0. I attacked again and won but they still haven't changed to my side.

When you look at it on the map, is the planet white?
Also, is this single player or dynaverse?
It could be a bug. Happens sometimes on Dynaverse. Doesn't get fixed till the server reboots sometimes.

Single player mission and the planet was white.

Weird. It *should* be flipping...
Have you done a planet assualt since the defense reached 0?
