Link Vs. YOU

It's the world of black and white. Among the followers of a rival God is an elf with a strange sword and shield... you start off with a small village and your ape-monster. Start harvesting...
So basically Link is the enemy god's Creature? Or just a powerful follower?
Anyway the very simple way of keeping Link off my back is... to go Good. Get that alignment to +1.00 and Link isn't a problem. Be the benevolent one, show your villagers the true meaning of peace and prosperity. Link usually fights the forces of darkness. Well tough luck, they're not here. I've never seen Link go after anyone even slightly good. In OoT he did fight the Gerudo, but he didn't use lethal force.
In the event that Link is mind controlled and will fight against the powers of Good, then I'd divert his attention with the Ape. I'd stille be the Good one, so I'd have the Ape be friendly to Link. Of course, Link is the violent type, but it is for cases like this one that I always teach my Creature Fireball and Heal. My Ape will not pack a big punch, but it'll be hard to take down. Should Link fall I'd be the one to heal him up. It's free Good points, and may blur his view on who the enemy is.
Now if I had a giant Pig I'd be screwed... Link has... issues with those.
Another amusing idea would be to swarm Link with Breeder type disciples. Seeing how he wooed half of Hyrule in OoT this should keep him busy for a while.
And about that rival god? I'll let Link come to me. That way the battle, if any, will happen in my land. Thus only I can do miracles.
