Seriously, WTH? Windows Generic Host Error

I get a Generic Host Win32 error when I boot up...almost every single time. When I shut down I get some kind of "cannot write insturction at XXXXXXX memory" and it mentions SVHOST. I looked all over the Internet and I have not found a satisfactory answer. I scanned with Norton to no avail, and have used Spybot and Adaware. Has anyone else come across this problem?

EDIT: I just scanned several times with Spybot and it will not get rid of DSO exploit even after I fixed selected problems. Could this be the culprit?

there is a DSO exploit that is a false positive and nothing to worry about, is it alexia related? if so don't worry if it is the only entry.

Try checking for trojans with TDS-3

I used TDS-3 and nothing came up. I still get a Generic Win32 Host error. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Hmm

Do this

Start->Run and type "eventvwr.msc"

And post any errors related to svhost
