Yes, i mean the really old game colonization by Sid Meir (IIRC)
I've been lootting some aztec cities and have a treasure wagon. It says "you'll need a galleon to get that back" and when i didn't have a galleon and i got it to a port it would say the king would transport it for a portion of the money.
Now i own a galleon and it's at the same port as the treasure but it's not doing anything, not even asking if the king should transport it.
Anyone know how to get all this lovely gold out of a wagon, onto a galleon and into my bank?
EDIT: Fixed title

Just move the galleon outside the city. You should be able to move the treasure from the city and into the galleon.
EDIT: Oh yeah, then just send the ship back to Europe.

I love this game... I just wish it worked properly on Win98 and up...

Just load the galleon on the ship like any other unit then ship it to Europe.

Strange... I have Xp and it works just fine, except for the sound but it sucks anyway.

My version always comes up with an error later in the game about the version of Windows being used (and has done so for years, ever since I upgraded to 98), and then crashes. And the sound and music don't work. Which is rather annoying.

Did you try running it in Win95 compatibility mode?
As for the original question, just load the treasure into the ship like any other unit, and move it to Europe, where it will turn into cash.
And remember that it takes all six cargo spaces, so you can't carry anything else along with it.

My Col v3 works under XP sp2 fine, and I've never had the problem mentioned. Get all the old patches (I could send them to you if they're not availible anymore) and it'll be fine. Game really needs a high-res mode
