Phong != Moderator ... or a post-mortem

Due to time constraints I've resigned as moderator and will probably be defrocked as soon as a replacement is selected. Negotiations in poorly-lit rooms filled with smoke are in progress but I think we have a deal
Anyways, I just wanted to see what people thought of my moderatorship, if it could have been improved in some ways or whatnot. I don't really want a spamfest of posts stroking my ego, though.

Who's this "Phong" person, Phongn?

Eh, fairly transparent, as a mod, which is a good thing. Modship shouldn't be really....noticed...outside of extreme circumstances. Yes, lockhappy mods, I'm looking at you.

Good mod, only time I've seen you do anything moddy besides locking spam was splitting a debate.

Well, I can understand why one might want to step down from moderating us maniacs.
All around, I think you did a good job. I never saw you make any blatantly unfair decisions, though the efficiency of the whole "Question answered, thread locked" bit was a little disconcerting at times. All around, I'd say you did a good job. Enjoy your retirement.

You did a good enough job. Admitidly i'm not a T-Godder and i'm told thats where the most moderation is needed.

I thought you did a good job, however this forum is probably a relatively easy forum to moderate compared to the other forums on theboard.

Yeah, and don't worry about Rouges comments, probably still smarting over his new title.

Shep's flagrant violation of the "No Vendetta" policy has been deleted.

You were the least active of the mods, and thus among the best of the mods. Good job, you will be missed.

Not really. "Geeky" forums like
3dfxzone.it or
SimHQ usually need a "tech-savvy" mod to understand WTF the people are talking about.
(Imagine a mod posting
"FSAA? SPDIF? Ummm.. What are you blabbering about, folks?").
Additionally, a knowledgeable mod is always nice to have because they can post useful advices; particularly to end a long thread where the poster is desperately looking for answer. Of course such answer can be provided by others as well, but who esle constantly monitors a forum if not a mod?

You did a good job, and your stereo "geekiness" is impressive, y'know!

You did great!
*sticks hand up for the mod job*
I know my profile isn't all that high but I beleive I can make a positive contribution. Wouldn't be the first time I've taken over one of Phong's jobs either.

Thanks for the help, Phongn; You put in a lot of hard work on this forum and it made both Keevan and my jobs a whole lot easier.
Hope you can stick around to keep the level of discussion high
