In Which Stark Asks A Stupid Question About iPod Prefs

Post by Stark »

I've had this problem for ages, and it's probably the only thing I don't like about my iPod. I use iTunes - I tried ehpod and it broke my device. Whatever the newest version is, and my iPod is a 4G,20Gb, 3.0.1 thing.

Whenever it goes into sleep mode, it loses my clicker setting. I hate the fucking clicker: I hate it. Every time I pick my iPod up after 6 or so hours of not using it, the fucking clickedidy-click noise is back, and I've got to go and turn it off again.

It doesn't lose my other (EQ, shuffle, main menu items) configuration items, just the damn clicker. I've noticed iTunes settings seem to override the iPods' sometimes (like someone setting a 5 second crossfade - that was horrible) so have I done something foolish? Or is it just a silly problem?

"Either God wants to abolish evil, and cannot; or he can, but does not want to. ... If he wants to, but cannot, he is impotent. If he can, but does not want to, he is wicked. ... If, as they say, God can abolish evil, and God really wants to do it, why is there evil in the world?" -Epicurus

Fear is the mother of all gods.

Nature does all things spontaneously, by herself, without the meddling of the gods. -Lucretius
