My comments:
The HDR that I did see in the video was nice.
That is some of the worst bloom I have ever seen in a PC game. Even software bloom hacks for Half Life looked better.
Those brass things in the church are more detailed than anything from HL2.
Source runs like shit with my a64 2.0ghz clawhammer, 6800oc and 1 gig of 3200 ram. How choppy will this map be? It hurts to think about it.

Runs like shit... in 16x12 8x 16x? It runs fine (early battles, not much nifty fx) on a 2.8P4, 9600XT. 10x8, 4x, 2x, course
Blergh, you're right: I thought the thumb looked okay: is that bloom just overlaid on? It looks like it's sitting a few meters off the far wall!

Taking dm_runoff as an example: at many points on the map, with NOTHING going on, with medium model and texture detail, at 10x7 with 4x AA, I'm getting below 60 fps. This is a week after a format and new drivers.

Holy shit. How low does fps drop, fx and bot activity notwithstanding?
And I had to ask: I'm always hearing people complain how bad UT2k4 runs on their uber system... at 20x20, 16x, 8x, everthing to max...

When there's action on screen it doesn't drop as bad as Doom 3 would. However, if I DM online then I have to set everything to low, even the resolution, just to be sure I keep above 40 fps at all times. Then there's Garry's Mod, which runs like absolute shit and goes to 20 fps if I drag a courpse across the ground at high speed.
FarCry runs slightly worse depending on the level, but I can understand, given everything that is going on in a given scene. For Source, however, I don't get it. The terrain is blocky, the specular maps are bugged and look like ass half the time, and it would look worse than UT2k4 if not for pixel shaders and normal maps.
As for 2k4, it gets very close to unplayable only when I go 16x12 with 8xaa and 4xaf, on
holy shit settings. At such a high resolution I tend to set up a botmatch and spectate for the hell of it. Usually I play with the mentioned settings at 1024x768.

I feel sad because my graphics card is only 128MB. I'd have to save all summer to get a new card. Meh.
