I cant play. Plain and simple. The game locks up after the opening video sequence after character creation. My system meets all requirements and the game is fully patched. Anyone experience this problem and know how to fix it?

Go to the Obsidianent.com forums- I've heard of this problem before, though I have not personally encountered it.

Are you using an ATi card? Many Catalyst versions suffer from this problem. 4.3 and 4.11 seem to be the most reliable ones overall; while 4.12 and onwards can sometimes get past the blackscreen as well, they will bog down on Dantooine later on in the game. I wasn't able to play until I downgraded to 4.11.

The problem also sometimes appears on nVidia chipsets, but I'm not familiar with the solutions for those. As Vympel says, the Obsidianent.com forums would be your best bet there.

I AM using an ATI card... I will reinstall(tried uninstalling and reinstalling) and switch to a dfferent version...
