I am about to shit a brick this time. I finally got a copy of Quake III Team Arena, I had forgot about it all these years, and a used popped up at my local EB. Forgetting that Q3 wasn't already installed, I couldn't load it. So now I just sit down, and remember to install Q3. Now I'm getting some fucking subsystem window with close and ignore as my options, and no matter which one, I can't install Qauke 3, nor play my new Team Arena. GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Window
16 bit Windows Subsystem wrote: E:\\WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

You've got some files missing. Happened to me a few months ago.

Edit: I am, of course, no expert, but I am going by what these experts tell me.

XPSP2 loves to break these files.

You can either reinstall them fro your XP disc, or there's a registry key you can delete and recreate, but I can't find the link to in on Microsoft's wonderfully helpful knowledgebase.

It's an SP2 problem. It's fairly easy to fix, though; invoke Google.

Actually, I don't have SP2 on here. SP1 I believe, but not 2. However, I somehow managed to get Q3 to actually install. I just started exploring on the CD and kept clicking different setups. LoL!!! I did get Team Arena to install also, and if fucking rocks. I so wish I had this several years ago now.
