I'm editing the OP as the guy speaks.

Alot of bragging, with a few jems like their ONLINE community will work through Gamespy. Also facts like 94% of the handheld market is theres.

Talking about intergrating DS and the new online community. It will be free, all 1st party game will be completly free online. DS online will work the same as nearby, just across the internet.
DS can now display video's, their handing out the Zelda trailer on DS chips.

Gameboy Advance: MICRO, smaller then an Ipod mini, fully capable of all the GBA games, a good screen.

Animal Crossing DS confirmed.
A serious Pokemon game for Gamecube confirmed. Pokemon XD.
Mario Baseball.
Super Mario strikers(soccer).
Mario Party 7, tons of mini-games, 8 player mode, microphone:wtf:.
Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix.
Donkey Konda 2.
Madden NFL 2005.
Shadow the Hedgedog.

Zelda 2005 trailer: Very mature, still young, but looks mature, alot of scenes in some sort of castle, alot of adventuring clips.
Link turning into a megawolf, some sort of half robot looking on Link. More horse combat, looks really natural.
Oooh, combat flows nicely, interacting with secondary characters is nice, Link uses a female(no idea who) to vault over a small chasm. :?

Nintenndogs, made by Miyamoto, best selling DS game in Japan, apprently being ported to the U.S.
For those of you(like me) going WTF at that title, its you, basicly growing up a virtual dog, caring for it, teaching it tricks, it uses the DS to good effect all the stuff like touch screen and wireless, and something like voice control or something, intergrated stuff like Marion Kart inside it.

Okey, Revolution is small, black(atleast the prototype), its tiny. 512MB of Flash memory, you can add memory cards. Revolution will have ALL of Nintendo's past Console Games, ALL of them.

Metroid AND Zelda for revolutions confirmed.
Also, development will be easy.

Okey, it ended.

That's so great!! I wonder if it's for free... Well probably not. But maybe if you already own the game...

To write this down before I forget:

They definetly mentioned the word consoles, NES, SNES, something 64 and Gamecube.

They mentioned the older consoles games would be donwloadable through the online service.

since it's being offered by nintendo, it'll probably be inlcuded in the cost of their broadband subscription. and given the size of roms for many classic games save N64 and up is relatively small, it should be feasible.

Nintendo's online program, and 1st party games will NOT require a subscription apprently.

I know it's not about the specs, but I wish Nintendo really had released them, to help shut up the Sony and MS fanboys who persist in claiming idiotic things like "Nintendo refuses to release the specs because they're scared, and they know they're beat". >.<

*watches Zelda trailer* Oh, so there was a reason after all, with that wolf in the other trailer! And now I see that the Sheikah-guy from the released official art was not a guy, but Zelda!

Well, the N64 games are relatively small too. For instance, Castlevania 64 was just 12 MB. And Zelda: Ocarina of Time was 32 MB, I think.

O.O

Gimme, now.

Oh, and what would really kick ass is if the emulation on all those previous console games allow for you to online play as well(like emulators can do now)...

Hell, even if it costs some money to download previous console games, there is no way it is going to cost much. You can get a new Luigi's Mansion or Metriod Prime for what, 15-20 bucks? I don't see Nintendo charging that for the download, on older titles. And used 64 games are max 10 bucks at EBGames, shouldn't be much, and SNES and NES games could be sold in packets if they didn't want to give them out free, you could probably get Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, 3, World 1 and 2 and RPG as a cheap bundle and it would be worth it.

I was hoping for a SP or DS with Play-Yan-esque capabilities integrated.

Given that Miyamoto was showing off the Zelda trailer on DS cards, I'd say that the DS already has those abilities built in.

The Micro is sexy!! I pulled out my iPod mini when I read it was about that size...and I was like "HOLY SHIT". The screen seems too small though. That's my only gripe with it.

*edit*

This was pre-E3, right? The actual event starts tomorrow I believe. Maybe more will be unveiled. They still have to show Mario 128.

So the DS can play music and video right out of the box, and there are recordable DS cards available? If so, then why was the Play-yan/chan announced in the first place?

Size comparison of Game Boys. Smaller screen, and looks like only little children will be comfortable holding this new bugger.

According to MSNBC.com the new Zelda game is called Twilight Princess...

In any case...*drools*

That launched back in Japan before the DS was even available in the first place, IIRC. It was always intended for the GBA. Because the DS is compatible with GBA however....it can use it.

Yes, but my question still stands. I have never heard of the DS being able to play music and videos out of the box, without an add-on.
