Wait for Dual-cores before upgrading?
Just idly wondering, since I'm going to be upgrading within a few months to an A64 3500+ venice, whether to just wait for the new AMD dual cores to come out. Will a dual core cpu give any significant advantages for gaming over a single core?

If you do anything together, such as gaming while browsing the net\Zipping stuff\AV scans, duel core is so much better its not even funny.

ALOT more.Captain tycho wrote:Hmm, how much does a multi-core cost compared to a single core of the same variety (i.e, 3500+ venice, if I'm understanding it correctly)
Duel core AMD's are currently only high end(which barely fits the 3500+).

Looking at another 250$ at the lowest level.
