I posted this problem a while ago, and I haven't found a solution yet, and it's pissing me off, dammit. :p
Whenever I use TV-out on my Nvidia cards, it autodetects the TV properly, but never changes back, so when I drag it back to the monitor and plug it in it works fine, gets to the XP splash, then puts the monitor on standby before it loads the desktop. I can get in in safe mode, but can't force it to use the monitor again, so I have to strip out the drivers and reinstall. This all makes watching Doctor Who a pain in the ass.
Anyone want to theorise why my 6600GT changes to blank and white after the XP splash screen? BIOS is colour, splash is colour, desktop is black and white. Yay.
