So, I just had to DL a .rar file. Apparently it's a fix for a bug in KotORII, but, erm... what's a .rar file? How do I open it/use it?

I beleive there are a couple programs that just open any Zipped file, .zip or .rar and such not.

Or you can try 7zip. Supports rar, zip, and quite a few other formats, but unlike winrar, it won't give you an annoying registration pop-up.
