Purchasing a DVD-ROM drive

Currently my computer (specs available if needed) has no DVD-ROM drive and so I am interested in purchasing a good drive for not too great a cost. Any advice?

I assume I'll be able to tear the current CD-ROM drive out of my Dell case and hook up this beast without too much trouble?
