Nothing but a small trick to see if you were paying attention, you will be tested later

Right, I thought maybe there was a glitch with the board or something which caused a super old post to show up again as new...or something. (I have no clue about the BF:2 release date, but I LOVE BF:V and BF:1942, as you all are no doubt aware) So, with that in mind
commence primary drooling.

Word I heard is there trying to track down a few "gamebreaking" or at least AI breaking errors
Ship date is June 26th btw(The demo and GTA:SA should keep me company that long)

It's here!
Sadly the
minimum specs are
CPU: 1.7 Ghz
RAM: 512 Mb
Video Card: NVidia GeForce FX 5700, ATI Radeon 8500 or ATI Radeon 9500 with 128 Mb of RAM
And sadly I do not have a 128mb graphics card

Muhahaha!
My system copes with that easely!
It is good to be a mod and bragging in a thread!
To bad that I do not like online FPS games.

Filled with rage, Nerdy Gamer rage, but burning flesh ripping rage none the less
Attention loyal FilePlanet users, this is a public service announcement for many of you wondering why we have not hosted the Battlefield 2 Demo. EA Games has contacted us and asked us not to host it for a duration of time, and in respecting their wishes we haven't hosted it. We understand that many of you are having difficulties getting the Demo, and we're sorry that we cannot help you at this time. The best place to look currently would be EA's website.

....WHAT THE FUCKING HELL ARE THE GRA-At this point the swearing and promsing of death continued on for several minutes, I typed it all out, thought about it, then said you know what? people don't want to read two pages of highly creative swears refrencing the EA people, their parents and various barn animals so I replaced it with this nifty little say.
This make no sense what-soever, unless EA does not WANT people to have the download, making sure the BIGGEST and MOST CAPABLE download site on the Internet could not host the file... makes no sense
Ahh well time to try my backup sources

Downloading from EA at an
incredible 15KB/Sec!!!
Only 12 more hours of downloading to go. I'm not moving an inch.
*Update - 12 hours 20 minutes to go. This increase of time is because the speed has dropped from 15KB/Sec to 12.5KB/Sec

Gamespot (paid service) 75% @73.5 KB/s. 30 minutes to go!!!!

Ok, the graphics are pretty damn good and run well at 1600x1200 (no widescreen support from the game itself) with 2AA (haven't applied AF yet - it wasn't option in the video menu). Never saw my FPS go below 20, and it usually stayed above 30, so it was quite smooth. This is on an overclocked 6800GT. They also included the latest Nvidia drivers, as well as stupid ass credit videos, include one stating that this game was only a demo...
The AI has really improved. I had enemy soldier lay down cover fire, while another advanced on me. The one that was advancing switch to his knife when he got close enough and stabbed me. Still some room for improvement , but its a far cry from the crappy AI of BF and BF:V.
No one seemed to be using VoIP.
Net code needs work. It doesn't suck, but it still needs work.
I think I might buy the full version when it ships.

If you guys hop on irc.enterthegame.com #bf2, type these commands in:
/dccallow +t4k\\xdcc
/msg t4k\\xdcc xdcc send #1
This will send you the demo on a dedicated T3 pipe.

I'm liking it so far, havn't played the original 1942 in a long time. Runs very well on my system at default settings, though there are graphical glitches.

Man, the drivers it wanted me to install don't run this game stable.
Something is wrong with the sniper, because I was shooting at someone less than 100m away as a sniper, while we were both still, and he didn't die. Then I chased someone a few seconds later, unloaded a whole clip into him, nothing happened. He didn't notice me, so I got right behind him and knifed him. No damage dealt. He turned around and killed me with 3 bullets with whatever automatic he had. Total bullshit.

I am thus far unimpressed with BF2 for the simple reason THAT IT WON'T FUCKING RUN. Hard to enjoy a demo when you start the game, screen flickers twice, and then dumps you on the dekstop with no messages at all.
