I can't be the only one who uses ICQ, and more specifically, the most recent version.

My question is such: are there any emoticon packs I can download to replace the hideous ICQ emoticons? Or for that matter, something in the program to disable them? I'm sick of seeing incredibly ugly charicatures used to convey people's emotions.

(Emphasis should be on GOOD emoticon packs. I haven't seen any that satisfy me. What are your personal preferences?)

I haven't used ICQ in years, but I'm sure you can just turn them off. That's what I do with AIM, it's not a bad solution.

Thus you've touched on the heart of my complaint: I can't turn them off. ICQ apparently doesn't see fit to install a disable feature, so I'm stuck with these glowering, ugly faces staring back at me.

Yes, they are fucking ugly.

Have you seen AOLs emoticons? Jesus Christ, AOL is a payed service and their emoticons suck ass. It's unacceptable.

Are those the animated ones being advertised, including a crying one with fountains of tears spewing out? Yeah, those are terrible, as well.
