You bastard. I've become addicted to that, but I must study for exams. :x

Are there any keyboard shortcuts for torpedoes or phasers, or anything? And can you gain prestige by anything other than delivering cargo or blowing up Jed'Haddar?

Enigma: Moving is the arrow keys.

No keyboard shortcuts for the origional. You gain about 5000 prestige for each system you liberate, which is done by destroying all dominion ships into a system until the strength (number displayed on warp map) is reduced to zero.

How do you go from one system to another in Flashtrek? I know you have to go to warp first then select the system in the map but it seems that is doesn't take me away from the bajoran sector.

It does, theres just no indicator that you're in another sector. Of course, if you fly towards the dots, you'll soon notice that there's no starbase, and some enemy capships. :P

Incidentally, I just got the Steamrunner. Now if I have to fight a lot of big ships, I'll just switch to it, otherwise its Defiant all the way. I've gone from defending the Bajoran system in a Danube to liberating a half dozen systems, and slowly working my way through the ships. A few more days, and I'll have all the systems.

I love this game. :D

Bah, just keep with the little ship after the shuttle. Its the fastest and those pulse phasers can take out anything really damn fast. Ending spoiler: And after you liberate all the systems you get the uber Galaxy-X

I got the Steamrunner and I was like, "Hmm, I wonder how big a spread of torps I can fire with this." Answer: "That depends on how fast I can click the torpedo button." I love that thing. I'm going back to DS9 for torpedo restocks more often than I am for repairs.

Yeah, same reaction with the Akira. I never got to the Sovereign though. I beat the game on a Prometheus.

SPOILER: If you liked the torps from the Steamrunner, just wait for the Galaxy X. Total fucking wankery. :D

I don't know, I really didn't like the tropedoes. There's just something intoxicating about slowly circling a Cardassian Galor-class and pummeling it with your phasers, and laughing your ass off because it would take 4 attacking you at once do destroy you. The extra 500 hull and shields makes a difference. :D

phasors suck too much power for the damage they do. i rely mostly on torpedoes, which use less power. When i've expended those i run my phasors dry and warp back to base with what remains of my ship.
