My love affair with San Andreas & questions

1. Yes, the game absolutely fucking kicks ass. The voice acting is fantastic, the music is great (even some of the rap, and I despise rap), and the sheer size and amount freedom you have is unbelievable even compared to past GTAs. I spent my first 3 hours of the game just exploring Los Santos, jacking cars and lightening the populance's wallets. Anyways, onto the questions:

1. How the hell do you properly control aircraft? Keyboard is too clunky, mouse is overly sensitive (even with sensitivity turned down to almost zero!), and the game won't detect my MS joystick.

2. The Cesar Vilipandros mission is giving me a headache. How do I time the hydraulics in tune with the beat AND control the direction?

I'll probably have more as I start beating some more missions, so beware. :P

Reminds me of how much ASS the chopper controls were in Vice City on PC. I eventually had to hook up a gamepad, because without an analog stick, you could NOT fly that damn thing in a straight line.

You map the controls yourself, duh. :P

I disagree. It was hard to learn but easy to master. I was able to take the attack helicopter right down on the deck while pursuing criminals in the vigilante missions, flying between buildings and under light poles. Once you really got the hang of the controls helis were fun as hell.

I haven't got around to any aircraft yet, but I've been more of a mission player than an explorer.

Fun, yes, I'm talking about the fact that if you have to use a purely digital on/off control, I.E. a keyboard, you couldn't maintain the proper pitch. You were either pressing the dive button or you weren't...and so to get anywhere at all without plowing into the ground, you had to bounce up and down, angling way down, then letting up and swooping out of the dive, gaining altitude, then diving...etcetera. With an analog stick, it was cake.

I'm a flight sim vet, but the controls are still giving me hell. I can fly choppers fine, but everything else seems like it's on crack.

With the fixed wing aircraft, you might want to do what was done for the Dodo in GTA3. Tap the controls in which direction you want to go, instead of holding them down. And then, of course, tap back to level off. I haven't tried it myself though, but I'll give it a shot later today.

What's that website with the annotated maps of where all the spray paint areas, weapons etc are? I got San Andreas PC and ever since the reformat a few months ago I lost all my bookmarks :(

Speaking of love affairs and San Andreas...

San Andreas Uncensored - has NSFW pics

I guess they modded the game to get more out of your, uh, "coffee" visits.
