Market Mogul
Yes that's right, I need some sturdy folk to try out my little php web project. It's a stockmarket game. None of the stocks are real, the money isn't real. Nothing is real. Play it, if something doesn't work, tell me. If you notice any foolish security flaws that I've overlooked (and I'm sure I have), kindly tell me rather than truncating my database ;)
Note: I'm just using my IP, which is dynamic, so it will change now and then, if the linky doesn't work IM me and I'll update it. Also, if the site is loading slow or something, that's likely because someone has walked in front of my wireless access point, heh. Oh, and I suggest using IE; it does some ugly things on Firefox (and opera); still playable... just ugly and sluggish.

EDIT: Really... use IE

You weren't kidding when you said it doesn't like Firefox. If I'm bored I'll find IE and give it a shot.

OMGzor - I left the game alone for a few hours, and poor IVGQ is worthless! :)

Ya. I don't know why it does that... it's just HTML. I guess Firefox just isn't very good :P
here it comes! *ducks*

I'm playing it now. Just made $200!

I don't think it likes Opera too much, but it might be my browser.

I should mention, the graph thing in the Broker section appears to be non-functional.

Graphs are working for me in IE.

Ya.. Firefox and I guess opera do not appear to support the entire javascript library or something...

Use IE :P

Instead of onclick for those images, why can't you just use the regular <a href="javascript:yaddayaddayadda"><img></a>? I bet that would really speed things up a bit.

Anyways, I'll give the thing a try. And you're already using php - can't you just use php to generate a graph instead of however you're doing it now?

...and after a day, my initial portfolio of all my money has literally just vanished, leaving me with $30. I think it's a bit too fast paced...

Uh, why don't you just run a dyndns client ( http://dyndns.org ) which checks your IP address and updates the subdomain given to you for free accordingly? And I don't seem to be able to create an account, since it claims "jhnphm_NOSPAM_at_gmail_dot_com" is an invalid email address (obviously I did not put the above in verbatim).

I'm using Firefox, and haven't seen any problems yet (I could probably fix the javascript easily).

You said plain HTML. Stop contradicting yourself. :P

And I prefer to say that the library does not support Firefox, not the other way around.

And curse you for making me try IE under Linux (slow as molasses).

Also, switch to some sans serif font. The Times New Roman looks poor on a website.

Good lord - your market modelling has gone mad.

I've been watching stocks appear and disappear every 15 minutes...
