LCD monitor recommendations

My 6-7 year old Hansol 17 inch CRT monitor is starting to go the way of the dodo, I can't really complain with the use it's had, and I've been considering an LCD/TFT monitor.

I'd like a half decent entry level one, it doesn't have to be the cheapest, but I don't want one that's too expensive as I'm still paying off a car loan and car insurance right now.

One company that was recommended to me was Xerox, and this is my local shop's one

I'm wanting a 17 inch monitor. If there's any other makes you'd recommend, go ahead.

I have got this one. It is actually the cheapest I found anywhere but I am very happy with it. Has got no DVI connector but I can live with it.

Dell and Samsung have good deals.

Indeed. A modern 20" Dell LCD for $350 is not something to be ignored, though it would probably cost more now.
