I want to get it but I want to know if it is worth the $50.

It's a lot of fun. Plus no monthly fees. My biggest beef, however, is that a lot of the end-game stuff now effectively (if not technically) requires support from a moderately-sized and active guild. Not that I have anything against that, but personally I don't have the time/energy to maintain or participate in such a guild.

Quick question: who else here plays Guild Wars? Maybe we could start up a guild if there's enough of us.

I got it just a few days ago. I've been addicted ever since.

Worth every penny I paid.

I'd be open to that. Not sure how often I'd be able to do stuff, but with summer in full swing I could probably set aside some Guild Wars time.

I have a guild from when my friends and I planned on getting it together from the beta/early access periods, but since I'm the only one who actually ended up getting the game (oi), it's sort of a one-person guild right now. We could either use that or start a new one, I'm open to either, though I have already bought guild heraldry.

Assuming I can upgrade my computer a bit more, I'll get it. I'm below MinSpec on RAM, though.

What's the name and abbreviation of the guild? Oh, and do you have a cape already?

I have a lvl 13 death necro. Useless in PVP, but I can always reallocate.

Nonsense... most any logical build is viable in PvP, with a little work and constant adaptation (a static build, on the other hand, is indeed worthless).

And here's the heraldry:

THAT'S WHAT I KEEP SAYING! But people are all, Man, no one is going to want you in PvP...blah blah blah. Yeah, let's see how you like that after a 300 point putrid explosion, fools.

EDIT_____________

removed pic quote. Sheesh.

I'll join up. My highest level char is a level 12 (or 13) Elementalist/Necro, currently specializing in blood draining spells and massive AoE rapage.

It's been sitting on my shelf for a couple weeks and I'm getting ready to install ... what are the main skills of the Ranger class?

Archery skills, beast mastery (pet), survival (misc self buff/heals and such), and nature rituals (area enchantment buff/debuffs). I think I may have missed one, I've never really played a Ranger.

Answering Chmee Question

There are to many to list but the main skill types are

Expertise= Points into Expertise decrease the energy cost of your attack skills, Preparations, and Traps

Beast Mastery= Beast Mastery improves your animal companion's basic attack damage,as well as skills that help to keep your companion from harm

Marksmanship= Improving marksmanship increases basic bow damage, and increases damage dealt by bow skills

Wilderness Survival= Wilderness Survival improves defensive stances, Preparations, and traps

I have been pondering buying it, but my current budget isn't what I'd call relaxing...

Oooh, they implemented a faction system while I was away. Another incentive for pvp. :)
