I use it. Aside from not being able to transfer files for some reason (maybe that was just me, but when I booted up AIM it worked), it works pretty well. You might have to play with some of the included functions to get some of what AIM offers though (like not cluttering up your taskbar when it's running), and I don't think it'll do that handfy pop-up notification thing like AIM did.LadyTevar wrote:+http://gaim.sourceforge.net/
A friend suggested this instead of AIM... anyone tried it?

Not that I'd use YIM on a widescale basis, but I am interested to see if a friend of mine really uses it, and only one way to find out...
I use it and like it. I use it for AIM, MSN, YIM, and ICQ. (You don't have to break the link to that site, by the way.)LadyTevar wrote:http://gaim.sourceforge.net/

You can get the Guifications plugin. Also, you can check out the plugins page for other handy plugins.RogueIce wrote:and I don't think it'll do that handfy pop-up notification thing like AIM did.
