Okay I split this off from the main thread because we're testing something new now on the Meatgrinder OJP server.

This is the Raven created Asteroids Mod (Siege Destroyer 2.0).

Please download the mod from one of the following locations:

PCgamemods.com
LucasFiles.com


Install according to the directions included. Do NOT remove any files, as they are ALL required (well, except the linux portion). Put the Siege_destroyer2.pk3 in your base folder, copy everything else into your /asteroids/ subfolder.

Then join! 67.15.13.128:29070

Check the server status anytime here.

Edit: It should be noted that the server cycles through Siege maps (Destroyer2, Korriban, Hoth, Tatooine) followed by CTF 1-5, and back again. So even if you don't catch it during an actual Asteroids map you can still play (without the mod) and enjoy.

Well I gave up... only one guy ever joined.

Still, if there's enough demand we can do it again sometime. Just let me know and I can have the destroyer map up in a couple of minutes.

Well, I'm interested any time. The only problem would be the time zone difference. But if you need an extra player, drop me a line on AIM or Yahoo and if I am at home, I'll join gladly.

Trouble is, we need at LEAST 4 people to get a game going. Because bots can't fly fighters, and it's team based...


So we need some more volunteers!

*sigh* If I ever manage to get a legal copy of the game (as opposed to the copy I "acquired" for game-testing purposes), I'm in...I make it a point of principle not to play online with games that I haven't paid for, though.

I also try to buy them as soon as I can afford 'em, but I've been having cashflow problems lately...frickin' summer classes...

Sounds good. Errors in the warez version(s) would prevent you joining a patched legit server anyhow.
