Google says "You Have A Virus"

I've every now and then noticed opening my browser will freeze the browser window unloaded and cause everything to screw up- the File-Edit-View menu disappears, right clicking disables, the speed lags, and no new windows will open, nor will the window that did this close. When it happened, the only things I had downloaded were several bitmap files.
Recently, one of those happened, and when I went to google for it Google says "403 Error" and I have a Virus or Spyware in my network, sometimes. I've tried googling the same thing at nearly the same time, and the error message seems to be random. However, Spybot, Adaware, and several AntiVirus programs show nothing.
Is google right, and my detection programs wrong, or is google just being stupid? The freezing sounds like something spyware would do, but I haven't downloaded any files recently that could have done it, and nothing turns up.
