When I go to a website that displays a wmv file an 'Illegal Operation' window appear. The movie still runs, though. As soon as I click away the error message, Firefox says bye-bye.
I've got Media Player 9 and Firefox 1.0.6 running on Windows 98, and I've updated everything I can think of. Still no luck. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?

My solution? Switch to media player classic and or, upgrade, 98's not supported anymore.
Either that or do a fresh install of one or both programs.
Option three is to see what else is running when the errors occur.

I'm guessing that Microsoft is using the "illegal operation" error to refer to DRM activity rather than a bad program instruction, like they used to.
