X-Wing Alliance Mission Help

I'm stuck on the XWA family mission where you have to get the probe droid and deliver it to Aeron. The problem is that whenever I get to that stage I can't do anything , "Shift+P" and "Shift+D" don't work and whenever the Sabra tries to dock with the probe droid it rams me and I end up destroyed.

Any suggestions?

You get rammed after you land on the platform? Try waiting until the Sabra comes to a complete stop and docks, then dock yourself.

I'm guessing this is the bit at the end where you have jumped to hyperspace beyond the Customs station and met up with the Sabra?

Just drop the probe, completly release it and move off a few klicks. The Sabra should then come and pick up the probe and fly off, mission complete.

You got it.

That's my thought too. The problem is I don't know how to drop the probe, I lost the manual.

Perhaps you ought to purchase your games from a reputable store instead of downloading them off BitTorrent.

I did in fact purchase this game. I just suck at keeping track of the manuals.

You are telling you you've never lost a manual before? I can't keep track CDs that old, to say nothing of their worthless manuals.

It's HOW MANY YEARS OLD? PC games back then didn't have easy to store manuals and boxes. Prick.

The X-Wing Alliance manual is the insert for the jewel case.

But now you've all convinced me that this simply must be completely legitimate. Carry on.

My copy came with a full sized book for a manual.

Anyway, through the process of elimination I have discovered that in order to realase an object you must press "Shift+R". Thanks for the help.

Is that what you want to be convinced? To be reassured? Satisfied? Confident? Huh, yeah? Well, too fucking bad! :P

Yes, mine too. By the way, did you get the X-Wing Alliance upgrade project models, Xess? It's much more fun with them. Unless your computer is older than XWA, of course .... :)

Is that a code or something?

Oh, and I have one better than losing the manual. I lost the damn CD case itself. I think it fell behind my computer desk and now it's vanished.

On the bright side, I found my original GTA1 manual for the PC! :D

Not the original release. You got a proper one then.
