I think the pictures speak for themselves:

Is this because of my crappy powersupply, or is my GPU fucked?
De inlined the images.

EDIT: Okay, the GPU clock is back up...but the memory clock is at 481.

What is your PSU?
Also, it could just be a bug in Everest.

Its a generic (Shit, I know, but the its what the tech guy put in, I've been meaning to get it replaced anyways) 350watt.

I believe the 6x00 series dynamically down-clocks from 500 MHz to 300 MHz when not running a graphically intense program. Also, I'm pretty sure the memory clock difference is because it's DDR RAM. The first screenshot is reporting the inflated clock, while the second is measuring the actual clock speed, but it's actually the same.
So, in other words, there's no problem there.

Okay then. I was a little worried it was completely crapping out on me.

how do you overclock like that...so easily. I don't recall seeing a menu like that in my RADEON 9700...That makes baby Jesus cry.

Get the Omega drivers, Chardok. Those have simple sliders on 'em.

Fuck Omega drivers, tried them once and they crapped out, now if they helped in FS2 SCP... but no, their just tweak happy and not as stable.

Stable as a Stable Rock of Greater Stability for me. You use Driver Cleaner before installing them, Ace?

Do I look that stupid?
Of course, still prefer the normal Catalysts...unless Omega will let me have DX9 working in HL2/fear...hmn, good idea to check.

I just know that I see a visible performance boost, with no downside on my hardware.

I have the latest catalyst driver. I...umm...Don't know what that means. I only just go download the latest drivers for the RADEON 9 series. Was that bad? I wanna make my shit faster. That'd be cool. It's the 9700 non-pro. As I understand it, they only offered the 9700 with Dell comps.

Nah, Chardok, I'm holding a 9700Pro in my hands
And yes, thats a good safe thing to do.
