"Final Flamewar: The Fiver Menace" = 100% Complete
Posted: 2005-09-06 09:21pm
by Steve
After three years of on-off work, the followup to Doomriser's "Final Flamewar: Attack of the Trolls" has been finished.
I say finished in that I have generally completed all of the work in compiling the game from beginning to end. The only thing left is for playtesters to go through and check for bugs and playability factors. Making sure I didn't make bosses too hard, that the play balance is proper, etc.
Depending on how quickly the playtesters do their work, the game could be available to the general board populace as early as next weekend (though not likely until sometime next week - at least one playtester has said he doesn't have time until then).
So, just stay patient for a little longer and it will all pay off, I can assure you.....

Several people have now beaten the game and Steve is in the process of resolving the remaining bugs. However, the release date has been pushed back so an SBer (Cavalier) and myself can implement a few more things and maybe do some decoration to a few areas. The delay should be no more than a week.

Steve, unfortunately, may well be indisposed very soon and I'm going to take up the job of finalizing the bugfixing. I hope to get all issues resolved by next weekend as this work-week I probably won't have much time, if any, to work on it

I'd like to take this opportunity to state that I would not want Doomriser decorating my house.
Eugh!

RTP, I take it that this is the same thing/compatible with the RPG Maker 2000 RTP package?
If so, it can be downloaded
from here. Note that this download is from the webpage
Home of the Underdogs, they have a strict "One download at a time rule" you may want to make sure is not being broken.
Other fun games that require RTP runtime files (links to a page that includes a description/review of the game):
Final Fantasy: Endless Nova
Three the Hard Way

Apologies in advance for the necro, but this was only on page 2
.
Any idea on when the game will be through last bug-testing and released?

Some of the playtesters decided to add more content + fix the bugs since Steve is unable to do so, so it'll be done when its done
