Oh my god...

Does this mean that "Americas Most Wanted" will now have its rating re-done to a 5/5?

Ratings are pretty well worthless these days anyway.

Why is everyone assuming that just because it was bought out by Fox means that it's going to utterly destroy the site, and that everything good shall crumble?

I mean, seriously, it makes not goddamn sense. Last I checked, Fargo's still writing editorials and making WoW comics, and FP is still giving out free demos, betas, full games, and other cool stuff.

That's the kind of stuff that makes the sites worthwhile for people to come to. I sincerely doubt that because they've been bought out by Fox that suddenly all will change and Fox Interactive games will be retconned with amazing reviews and the staff gutted.

You know, several years ago Nullsoft was purchased by AOL, but Winamp didn't suddenly disappear or suck.

I beg to differ there since after AOL aquired WINAMP the installer mysteriously increased in size by a few megs with no benfits or patch fixes and suddenly Winamp wants to modify a bunch of things it did not care about before.

But onto the Fox situation, Fargo and Co are safe for now until at least Fox starts monking with them. Hell IGN even looks like a Fox production as is.

Oh and Gamespot can go screw itself, just my feeling on the matter I hate their interface and downloading methods with a passion.
