Old game ID help

Yesterday I was reminded about a neat little game I played when I was a kid - of course I don't have it any more. I legally own a license from when I was 10, but I can't get it without knowing what it was called.

I was sure it was called 'Supremacy', but a quick google suggests otherwise.

The game was a Star Control-era (complete with rotating star system) conquest game. Both players (well, one player and the AI ;)) started at opposite ends of a system, and had to send probes and power satelittes and train troops etc. The longer you left troops in the training program the better they were, and there was some sort of nuts resourcing going on that I don't remember. During battle, the 'action' was limited to a tiny window in the corner (showing one of four or five animations) while most of the information was presented in early 90s blocky-font garish-background display. I lost my disks in the peroid between old games working and thigns like dosbox being common, but I'd love to play it again.

It's likely it was one of those games that had a different name in the US. But I don't care: I just need to be able to find it on the information superweb.
