[WoD: Werewolf] Pure question

Does anyone know about the Forsaken/Pure conflict in the new Werewolf? I'm specifically curious about the Pure's take on the subject. The Forsaken claim to be the ones who maintain their duties as guardians of the world and that killing Father Wolf was part of that duty, but that always struck me as a little forced.
Has anyone read up on anything about the Pure's motivations?

Here I thought you were talking Werewolf, not the new crap that came out.
No, I know nothing about it, because I did not like what I read of the book, nor do I like the peer reviews I've read on this board and others.

The Pure are trying to live their life as they were; guarding the links between the worlds. They hate the Forsaken because their cousins bit the bullet and did what had to be. Therefore, the Pure blame the Forsaken for the current state of the world. That's about it.

I have only skimmed the book personally. I like what I've heard from friends, though.
Apocalpyse never struck me as fun. I got to be a character descended from a once proud people, now degenerate and corrupted and divided, who were the guardians of the world, only the world was completely fucked. Exactly what could I do about any of this? Jack shit.
At least in
Forsaken I feel like I could potentially make a difference. I run around fighting monsters! Like Hellboy! At least that's my impression anyway. And I'm not staring at the Apocalypse, which, in the old
Werewolf, was ten minutes away and on my doorstep.

In real Werewolf, the theme was that there was one last shot left. If the Garou could get it together, they could claw victory away from the jaws of defeat. The odds were bad, things had been going wrong for a long time, but there was still hope that they could gather their strength and win the good fight.
I can't say I know much about the new garbage the have for Werewolf. From what I can tell the new Vampire is watered down and bland and the new Mage is horrible.

What were the reprecussions of killing Father Wolf? Are the only differences between the Pure and Forsaken ideological?

It always struck in me in
Apocalypse that the Garou really had no chance of getting it together. Not only had they been assholes to the other shapeshifters (Werebears anyone?) they also had spent a huge chunk of time killing each other. Aren't the ruling class of Garou, by the time of the Apocalypse, inbred to the point of senility?

I don't know anything about the new Vampire or Mage either. A friend is starting up a
Forsaken game so I thought I'd try and find some stuff out about it. So far it sounds alright.

Apocolypse was fucked in a way, but it was also epic in it's scope. The Garou did fuck things up, but they had help along the way.....the Rage War anyone? Yeah yeah...so a Nagah (my favorite Bete race by the by) kinda caused it....the vipress should never have taken the side of the Wyrm, she should have kept to our appointed Path as Judge.....
-rambles on and on about Vinata and the problems she caused-
I've not even looked at Forsaken or any of the new WoD2.0 games...I have no intention of playing water-down Vampire....I didn't like old Vampire much less new...

Some of the powerful and respected Silver Fang tribe are showing signs of senility and inbreeding, but not all. There are some capable leaders (King Albrecht and Gogol Fangs First as well as a Shadowlord who's name I don't remember) that are ready to step up. The fight in Apocalypse is bad, but it isn't hopeless.

Bumping off Papa Wolf caused the Spirit and Material worlds to seperate and the Gauntlet to grow.
The Pure also are your stereotypical 'Hate all humans' goons at times, from what I've seen.
As to
Apocalypse.. You can make a difference. I know this, I've dented a few things in it. You never save the world(Well, save in teh Time Of Judgement chronicle..), but you can win alot of victories. Of course, too many folks played up the 'Ecoterrorist' angle to the point of absurdity. Yes, Garou are heavily nature-bound and the Wyrm embodies pollution.. But there's a shitload more than that.
