Google WiFi+VPN Confirmed

"Google is actually (confirmed!) rolling out their wifi network, first in the San Francisco bay area (see the FAQ for details.)
They are also including a Secure Access program for use in conjunction with this. So far, as per usual, it's in beta, and only for the San Fran bay area. Soon the entire US, perhaps??"

Perhaps the rumours of the optic cable google-net weren't so exaggertaed after all....
Still at least this may force it's rivals to also offer free wi-fi for publicity

So, this means that I can access the Internet from virtually anywhere once they complete this?

Well, they pulled off a feat like Gmail...I won't be surprised if this happens.
