After many, many years of snotty Mac users taunting their fragile Windows-using friends over having to run anti-spyware software, there has been increasing noise by critics over the lack of virus and spyware security on the Mac, which is in no way helped by the blasé attitude that most Mac users have towards protecting their computers from... nothing (so far).
Well, finally, the paranoid can be put to rest, as MacScan has come to the rescue by developing (one of) the first ever anti-spyware software "solution" for the Mac.

MacScan's claims are just about standard for anti-spyware software, and it hasn't been around long enough for anyone to put it to any sort of real test (not to mention that there's not much to test it with for the time being). However, the claims will, at the very least, put your mind at ease:
