WoW: The Burning Crusade

I'm not too irritated by the Blood Elves because I'm not entirely sure what Sylvanas would think of them, and the Alliance obviously doesn't like them anymore. For the Alliance race, I call Draenei. Make the stealth have a limited time and long cooldown, and maybe make you easier to detect than a rogue, and it'll balance fine. I figure the Night Elves are most likely to take them in, they seem to have similar peaceful nature-loving tendencies, and will find them no more strange then they find the rest of the Alliance.

Flying mounts? How's that going to work?!

Jewelcrafting has the potential to make the other professions more interesting, especially engineering.

The best, though, is the announcement about the Caverns of Time battlegrounds. The opportunities there are endless! This sort of thing reinforces my perception that they made the PvE game so that they'd have the money and infrastructure to make the PvP game, with massive persistent beta testing. WoW's going to be a whole different game a year from now, mark my words.

I hope so. But I was always confused by the idea of a new race for each side. I mean. Logically, the choices were High Elves for alliance (They still outnumber gnomes!), and Ogres for Horde. Or Goblins.

But of course, adding too many elves is certainly out of the question. Speculation about Pandaren and Furblogs are certainly highly unlikely. Naga aren't going to be in, since they can't wear pants... What're Draenei?

I think the only High Elves left are the ones that were already working with the Alliance south of Lorderon, so there wouldn't be much in the way of young adventurers coming of age and so forth. The gnomes, on the other hand, are more of a refugee group, which most likely had quite a lot of children. Also, they have given numbers for the death toll: half the gnomes were killed, but nearly ninety percent of the High Elves were killed, and most of those are now Blood Elves.

Word is faster than Epic(Think current 250% Gryphon speeds) set at a X height above ground

IE you summon your speed you go say two hundred feet up, traval as normal except your at that fixed height and are unattackable. Either that or they take the AO apporch where flying mounts=flying mode, still attackable no physics, just go X direction at X speed at will with full 360 freedom.

And probably cost around 5000 Gold. Ah well, time to begin enchanting more stuff.

Jeweler sounds interesting, though I am interested in how much a level upgrade because honestly I'm sick and tired of having multiple 60's.

Draenei are from Draenor, and are cousins to the orcs and ogres. They walk hunched-over like trolls, and are less brawny than orcs. The orcs, made more aggressive by Gul'dan's leadership, killed many draenei even before the pact with Mannoroth was made. After the decimation of their population and the explosion of their planet, what draenei are left in Outland and Azeroth are despritely in need of sanctuary, and though the Horde would probably welcome them now, their hatred of the Orcs would have to be equal to the Alliance's.

Level upgrade is to 70.

The rumour I heard was that flying mounts would work in Outland only and would be used primarily to travel between the floating islands that make up that continent. Of course this is all pure rumour.

No word on Hero classes, huh?

Well, I'll go ahead and call them (if they exist).

Death Knight
Mountain King
Farseer
Archmage
Blood Mage

What are the bets that the BE were added to the Horde so it would induce more people to join the Horde?

Also, Draeni would be logical, as the Alliance doesn't have a "fugly" race.

(But I'm still holding out for Pandarans)

Any word on new continents? I'm Hoping for Kul Tiras and Northrend.

The Blizzard article on their site confirms what's left of "Outland" as well as Quel'Thalas for the Blood Elves (yay!).

the Plaguelands, my friend (my main is a Forsaken Warlock and I've got no intrest on going solo against Arthas.)

That's for the NEXT installment. They are going to hold that off until they are fat and prepared, and the bugginess we can enjoy!

That's why he would be a raid boss.

They did state, that no player character even raids would have any hope against Arthas, would be mostly his lieutenants and such to fight (Kel'Thuzad is planned soon). It will probably change seeing as we can kill some major gods/characters already. Can't imagine going PvP against a warrior with Frostmourne, 150DPS Chance on hit - erases opponents WoW account. :(

EDIT I spoke too soon
Finally, someone asked about Arthas. When are players going to get to beat him down? Metzen seemd to relish the prospect. "Oh yeah, he's gonna get his!" he said. But it's not going to happen anytime soon. "At level 70? No way!" Metzen said, "The game has to catch up to him." So yeah, that's one massive villain that players won't get to hammer on for quite some time... but he's out there, a looming presence, sneering in the distance. Someday friends! Someday.
Bleh more levels.

Or 30 lvl 70s gang-banging him.

One thing that I really miss is armies. They're all gone in wow, perhaps, hopefully, they're all up in Northrend fighting. It is my dream to fight alongside NPC armies, and I do mean armies. Not like 40 other guys all huddled next to each other waiting for the pull, ya know?

Know what they should add? RTS Mode. Make a game like Arathi Basin, but have one person at the command centers. The raid leader. They'd be able to select places on the map and drop markers, or click on individual teammates and mark a location to attack, defend, etc... So the commander could actually coordinate, ya know?

I hope they make a reasonble way to get out of and into Quel'thalas, because the Plaguelands (both zones) isolate it quite well from the rest of the Horde. you for all intents and purposes can get to Orgimmar with a lvl 1 undead char, just walk to the zep tower near UC and take the zep to Durotar.

there will probably be a zep or a boat. There are more high elves left than there are gnomes, but I don't know if those numbers include both high elves and blood elves. I don't see why the horde would accept the blood elves. They've been getting pretty evil under the leadership of illidain. I read that they wanted to use the horde to help them rejoin illidain and their blood elf brethren in outland. Why can't they get there by themselves. They are apparently able to receive orders from illidain and we will be able to get there soon.

BTW who is gonna be the Boss of the Blood Elves (having the boss be Prince Keal would be stupid).

EDIT: since WC3:FT ended with Prince Kael'Thas in Outland he'd make bad choice for the Boss of the Blood Elves.

Draenei for alliance would be a conflict of interests. The Draenei are allied with illidain and therefore allied with the blood elves who have allied them selves with the horde. The Draenei wants to use their alliance with illidain to wipe out the orcs. I guess they meant orcs in outland?

Unless they are planning long term. The BE's join the glorious Horde and the Draenei the Alliance scum with a view to turning on them eventually and the game becoming a 3 way dance in pvp. Just a thought.

A three way realm war would be easier to balance with any population problems, but the game just is not set up for it. Heck, the game wasn't really designed for pvp at all.
