Give thanks for Stargate! (Gaming Geek Meet)

Okay, given the general good time had by all at the SG-14 game held after the Serenity Geek Meet, I've decided to hold another one-shot game over Thanksgiving break. All previous players are invited back (though if Wilson shows up, I'll be mighty surprised).

All people who are going to be in the NY/NJ area Thanksgiving weekend are invited. Right now, the list of people who are planning on attending is (as I understand it):

Myself
InnocentBystander
Marcao
Dalton
Soontir
and perhaps comrade Galkin.

Anyone else who wants to come, please make it known here. The game will most likely be Friday or Saturday, and will hopefully be played at the same location (Stevens, courtesy of Innocent). However, should that plan fall through, we can arrange the game at my campus at Sarah Lawrence in Bronxville.

If you are planning on attending, please post here. :)

I'll work on securing a key, though there's a fair chance one of the "lesser" locations will be available even if I can't manage the key again(for those that went last time, the place where you found a soda machine... assuming you went to the lounge one building down).

I don't know if I'll be able to do a Friday or a Saturday, but if I know what day it is I'll see about getting it off.

I suspect Saturday will be the day most people will be free, but it's always hard to gauge it properly.

I have confirmed that we will definatly have a key, and the same room as we did last time. Doesn't matter which day, and since it's thanksgiving weekend it will be empty, completely.

Okay, so that clears up one thing easily enough. Next is getting enough people to amass on one day.

W, F, and Sa are all possibilities, but most likely people will be able to come and play F-Sa. W only works if we can get enough people, and if Stevens is vacated by then *kicks Innocent for not saying after several direct interrogations*

I'll talk to Marcao directly, let's light a fire under Soontir and fgalkin.

I'm up for it. I should be free on any day unless I will be surprised with going somewhere with the family.

Badass, I got that Saturday off and I didn't even have to ask.

Sweet, so we're set for Saturday, which is good, because that works out the best for everyone I think. All we need now is confirmation from Comrade Galkin, and we're good to go.

Hey, Hotfoot. You have the rules, etc on-line?

What do you mean? I'm currently using a variation of Core Silhouette rules system, mixed with the published charts and such from AEG's Stargate RPG (many of which are freely available from that website under "resources").

The system's basic ruleset can be found in the Tribe 8 Demo Game which is a free resource, but does not cover the more complex rules, just the basic mechanics.

Was there something else you were referring to, perhaps?

You mean the weapons list? Or the character generation kit? I'm bringing back the pre-gens, remember :P

Yeah man, what's so bad about looting corpses and then disintegrating them?

It appears that it is time for Carvin' Marvin to return from retirement and once more take up the Bible and the AK.

Have a very nice day.

I think those are the goods I was looking for.

Somebody better get a scath staff blast otherwise I'd be useless as a medic again. :P Then again, would SG-14 need a medic at all. :!:

Oh, I promise, there will be blood. Some characters may end up dying. It is, after all, a one-shot.

GameDifficulty ++

Listen, bro, SG-14 is who they send in when SG-1 just isn't good enough.

I have a sneaking suspician that we should have all been vaporized when we lit up that temple's reactor.

Bah! Carvin' Marvin laughs in the face of Jaffa and their masters! Then he shoots them with his AK, and smites them with his bible.

Have a very nice day.

When I lit it up, and yes, by all rights you should have bit the bigtime along with the Tok'ra we were saving.

But Hotfoot is a kind and generous DM.
