DVD-RW requirements

I've checked out some sites here and there, and can't find reliable information on DVD burning. My "A" computer is a P3-700 with 9/16GB of RAM -- is this up to the task? If so, are any particular software packages out of the question?
Your advice, as always, is appreciated.

Have you tried checking out the system requirements of various burners, as opposed to media formats? That should be able to burn DVDs, though it'll be rather slow. Nero should be enough for most tasks, as well.

Um, no, your computer does not have 9/16GB of RAM

Yes, you can burn DVDs with that computer.

Actually, it really does. 256+128+128+64 = 576 ; 576/1024 = 9/16
I could have just said 512MB, I suppose, but 9/16 sounds a little better.

No sane computer users designate their ram in fractions.

Whoever said I was sane?

Since you have chosen to be pendantic, I will further correct you and note that you have 9/16 G
iB of RAM.

I accept your correction without prejudice, though I reject the notion that I was being pedantic. You stated that my facts were wrong, and I pointed out that they were not. (They were, in fact, wrong, in the strictest sense, as you correctly pointed out.)
In any case, thanks for the info.
