Probably cause you use Miranda or Trillian (make up your mind which, I can never remember!
)... as for me, I'm behind a pretty heavily policed uni network, which might've helped...

Miranda now; I'm not looking back unless it gets as buggy as Trillian is.
Viva Miranda!!

Use 'Buddy List Setup' or whatever it's called. Should be buttons there for the purpose. Select and exterminate.

All I did was do a "right-click" on the bot name then selected "delete.

Thanks, that worked, although I got a message shortly after saying they were no longer available to delete them
whatever, at least they aren't cluttering up my buddy list anymore.
Oh and no I didn't have the delete option when I right clicked on the names of the bots
I tried that already, I mean geeze give me some credit

Yeah, when you delete them it informs you of this fact, as if you didn't know already.

Even AIM 9.0 has the fuckin' things. But what really pisses me off is that I've clicked off the "open AIM.com" option several times but everytime I start AIM it starts opening a IE window to aim.com!!
Fuckin' thing.

For me, it hijacks Firefox.

I hate AIMbots, so I'm moving this to G&C.
Have a very nice day.

I got them this afternoon, and deleted them first thing. I wasn't concerned about bugs as much as I didn't care about whatever they had to shove down my throat.

Yup, it appears everyone is getting it. My roommate had it and I did too.

Yeah, it opens a new Mozilla window to AIM.com for me, too. Is it possible to turn that off?
No sign of the bots, though.

I haven't gotten 'em yet, but my roommate did; we're both using regular AIM on the college network here.
