Is it possible to make an animated.gif 1024x256?
Its for a game, to make a background look like its in motion. Possible?

Its the filesize for custom backdrops in "The Movies". The game scales them down accordingly. I want to try to "trick" the game with anigifs if possible, due to a few limitations.

What filetypes does the game use for backdrop images?
I'm putting my amature expert cap on and guessing that if they aren't gifs, then it won't work, but even if they are gifs, the programme might not support the animation function.

.jpgs and .gifs are both supported. I'm not sure about animated gifs yet either, but its worth a shot. The game has starship sets, but no starships!

Well, then I'd go ahead and try it just to see if it works, something simple like a block moving across the screen or such.
