Christmas present help

Post by tharkûn »

I'm looking for some good PS2 titles that support multiplayer for presents.

Preferences:
1. Not gratiutiously violent, bloody, or risque (not warping for 9 year old minds with somewhat prudish parents).

2. Supports 4 or more players.

3. Has cooperative as well as competitive play.

4. Is enjoyable even for casual gamers.

Would anyone be kind enough to point out some good ideas for the ignorant?
Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

X-Men Legends 1 & 2. 4 Player fun, the entire main game is co-op, plus some fun competative levels.

Dunno of any games for PS2 that handle more than 4 players. I shudder to think of that sort of split screen.

The Fantastic Four game also runs on the same engine as X-men Legends and allows multiplay just like it does. I only played the first couple of levels, though, so I'm not sure how good it is.
"I want to mow down a bunch of motherfuckers with absurdly large weapons and relative impunity - preferably in and around a skyscraper. Then I want to fight a grim battle against the unlikely duo of the Terminator and Robocop. The last level should involve (but not be limited to) multiple robo-Hitlers and a gorillasaurus rex."--Uraniun235 on his ideal FPS game

"The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant compared to the power of the Force."--Darth Vader

Both X-men games are now wrapped, tagged and and en route. Many thanks.

Gauntlet Legends describes that about perfectly. Though I have heard the only version available for the PS2, Dark Legacy, is has the difficulty bumped up to frustration levels.

But then again never underestimate the tenacity of hyperactive kid gamers! ;)
fun/fantasy movies existed before the overrated Star Wars came out. What made it seem 'less dark' was the sheer goofy aspect of it: two robots modeled on Laurel & Hardy, and a smartass outlaw with bigfoot co-pilot and their hotrod pizza-shaped ship, and they were sucked aboard a giant Disco Ball. -adw1
Someone asked me yesterday if Dracula met Saruman and there was a fight, who would win. I just looked at this man. What an idiotic thing to say. I mean really, it was half-witted. - Christopher Lee
