I'm completely incompetent. . . So. . . I created a shortcut key for a shortcut which I then proceeded to delete. The shortcut key combination is now unusble as it is assigned to something which no longer exists. . . Is there any way to re um. . . free it up?

Google + one search =
I had the same problem and the only way I got it resolved was by deleting the destination file (what the no longer existing shortcut points to) and execute the custom key combination. WindowsXP begins to search for the file and lets you browse for it too. At this point I hit cancel and do the key combination again. After 3 attempts, Windows tells you the file no longer exists and asks if you want to delete the shortcut. It worked for me. If you want to reuse the same key combination for something else, you will need to reboot before Windows lets you set it for another shortcut.
And USSEnterprise do not give asshole advice!
