So I go to reinstall this game on my new pc and it runs like crap (shocker). So I get the patches (3) and give'em a try. 1 and 2 make it run better, but makes it so you can't loot corpses. So I install #3 and now it won't run at all.

So, anyone got any idea how to over come this? Patch 3 was supposed to make it compatable with DirectX 9+ so I'm guessin that is what the problem is, but here is hopin cause it's a game I enjoy a hell of a lot.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Google around for the Circle of 8 fan-patch. The game didn't get nearly enough support from Atari and the team collaborated with the community to make tons of improvements and fixes.
