And a gate address on a DHD (Holiday Stargate Geek Meet)

Well, the full conversion isn't done just yet, but that won't stop us from planning the next meet.

Now, since Stevens is on break, and some additional yadda yadda from other sources, the next location will likely be at my house. This is good, but also potentially difficult, as it will be in New Jersey, on the Summit NJT line.

Anyway, anyone who wants to show up, post when you'd be available, and so on. Anyone needing to stay overnight can crash easily enough, and I promise much better food this time. ;)

Additionally, as I'm doing the conversion, if anyone has any real-world weapons they'd particularly like to see in the game, please, post it here.

Also, anyone who desires can create their own characters this time prior to the game itself using a spreadsheet tool I created a while ago to aid in character generation for the SilCore system, that way people won't be limited to the pre-gens I bring. ;)

You already know my answer ;)

As to when I'll be available, so far only Mondays and Tuesdays.

You've missed the staple of the SG-1 experience, the plotline that is used in dozens of episodes! I can't believe it. Where's the option like so...

Stargate MadLibs!

On a routine mission to P3X-(three digit number here), Team Member (name goes here) accidentally touches an alien (computer/mirror/tapemixer)! Now trapped inside the (robotic body/alien machine/body of a dog), will SG-(number here) find a way to save (afflicted team member) in time?

My conversion notes are largely for personal use, and likely to break three or four copyrights if they were ever properly published, but if you'd like, when I'm done, I can pass them along.

And Nephtys, nyah :P

I'll add that one later ;)

Mostly just curious as to how you statted jaffa and their equipment, as one could come up with a wide range of possibilities for that. :D

Still working on that, but I'm making several different types of Jaffa, from lightly armored to heavily armored. Staff weapons I have tentatively statted at DM 35 Acc -1, Knockback, BR 10, ROF 0. Zats are a special case, but the first shot works as a nonlethal haywire attack with DM 5 (tentatively), second shot kills, and of course, third shot disintigrates. The stunner grenades work as upgraded flashbangs.

Key stats for a standard Jaffa include WIL +1, BLD +1, FIT +1, AGI +1.

+ AGI is a surprise for jaffa. BLD and FIT, certainly. I'd be tempted to give the staff weapons HEAT, Awkward and AD2 as well, considering their performance.

AD is a maybe, but I don't think there's any real difference in power over distance. It would make long range battles easier for the SG teams, but hey. HEAT is a definate consideration as well.

The +1 AGI is largely for Melee combat. Also, considering that the game is currently balanced for Cinematic stats, there's a bit of a leaning in that direction.

Yes, the temptation to vape more Jaffa certainly ensures your participation

Sure, wouldn't be the same without that Cinematic angle

We have yet to use any c4 as airburst grenades, I'm a little sad

Now now, there's always next time. And the time after that. And the time after that. And don't forget about the gimmicked naquadah power cells.

The power chips are fun, but I have a Jaffa skull cap. Do not be jealous of my good fortune, not everyone can sport such stylish attire!

Nay, I am going on a covert operation there to bring it firmly under the heel of George Bush. 8)

Have a very nice day.

O.O!

I must inform my country men of this dastardly plan. Maybe we will use the DR's mighty P-51s to strafe your place of residence.

On another note, are you heading to Punta Cana?

As a matter of fact, yes I am. Now, are you going to bomb your own tourist trap just to get me?

Have a very nice day.

damn you fgalkin. If Punta Cana goes, the DR economy would suffer. It is not worth it to just get a russian with a poor sense of time.

good luck in punta cana and enjoy. Your dollars will be appreciated. ^_~

Yes, isn't it like your main source of income, or something? I'm sure that bombing it just to resist domination by Shrubya is not worth it

And yes, I'm sure you will appreciate my gracious donations of USDs to your economy for overpriced goods and services.

Have a very nice day.
