PSU Question

I was bought a shiny new PSU for Christmas, unfortunatly its for an 24 pin power connector), and my mobo has 20 pins. I'm unable to return and change it.

Would something like this be safe to use? I'm assuming that because they exist that there are no voltage differences or anything like that would fry my board.

That should work just fine.

IIRC, you can actually just plug in the connector and have the four pins overhanging, but check first.

My PSU lets me do that, IIRC those extra 4 pins are just for extra juice for some newer motherboards. Luckily they have that clip so you can't get it backwards. My PSU actually lets you detatch the extra 4 pins so that they are just hanging in space.
