Need help with 'write protected' files

Post by Equinox2003 »

OK, I'm trying to transfer some MP3 CDs and MP3 DVDs into my Ipod.
However Itunes does not even respond when I try, and WIndows media
says to make sure the stuff is not 'write protected'
I don't know what this means. HOw do I get around this?
I do not see any copyright issues involved since it is only me moving
stuff into my Ipod, so I think I am in the clear with the SD.net Mods by asking this.
I'm not even sure if what I am trying is possible. Can anybody advise?
Thanks in advance :)

Can't you just right click, select properties then check mark the box that says 'enable/disable write protection'?

If you're trying to transfer them from the discs themselves, you might want to try transferring them to your hdd first.
