Has there ever been a program or a game that you used/played where it seemed that even the user interface was against you due to bad design and/or bugs and why so?

X2: The Threat. The interface was keyboard only, and some tasks required going through several layers to get to commands you needed. And it was ugly, too. Luckly, X3's interface is a lot cleaner and can be mouse driven.

MOO3

Thousands of buttons, many of them did nothing discernable. you didnt really have much control over your empire.

your ai autohelpers, the viceroys, would make awful decisions, and do so even after being turned of...

Also the couple of pixels on the edge of the increase production percentace button didnt exist, so if you clicked there, it set it to 100% :wtf:

Yeah, X2 had a horrific user interface.

Worst ever - Madden '06 using keyboard controls. DEAR GOD.
