Guess who's thumbing through the official Metal Gear Solid script? According to 1up, it is none other than Uwe Boll himself. 1up has been in contact with Mr. Boll via e-mail (remember the crazy interview from a few days back?) and has learned that Konami has sent the famed German director a copy of the script.
The (debatably) good news is that Konami is moving forward on plans to make a Metal Gear Solid movie. The bad news is that Kojima does not seem to be involved (he did not write the script and would likely not direct) and Uwe Boll may be the director. No other details are currently available. Though Mr. Boll is reading the film's script, he is set to be pretty busy with other upcoming game-to-film adaptations and probably will not have time in the next few years to commit to such a project
Fuck!
Whos been spiking the Konami execs food with crack or meth. Who would want to give such a project to evil Mr Boll himself.

It says he doesn't have much chance of directing it.
But how the hell can he be busy with other movies? Why would any producer give this guy money?

Easy: They get it back with interest.
A German legal loophole. It's sort of like 'The PRoducers' only real. It's closed now, but he secured a bunch of flicks on the eve of the shutting.

Ok heres what he have to do. We have to become Solid Snake infiltrate Konami world HQ while bypassing there fiendish network of traps and obersvant or possibily sleeping guards. Then we take the execs hostage and demand they accept our list of demands about the proposed movie...and give us some cash. Then we rappel out the building to the ground below leaving them dazed and confused about what just happened.

Yeah but its terrible he is even being considered for it. Boll is EVIL. and not the Good Evil like the Galatic Empire. He is bad evil like a guy who kicks puppies.

I'm glad Kojima did not write the script. He seems unable to touch something without using it to preach to the audience. I still haven't beaten MGS3 because it.
I hope whoever did write it was smart enough to cut most most of that shit out.

He wasn't considered specifically. In Hollywood, potential scripts are pretty much sent out to everyone with even the most minimal potential on an en masse basis.

Well, to be frank, it's unlikely he'll be tapped, and plus, what could he do? Make the plot more incoherent and confusing?

Besides, even in the rare chance he does end up making it, we only have to wait until the exclusive rights (if any) expire so another can be made.
Personally, I think he should be stabbed in the throat, since he's merely a cinematographic serial rapist rather than a genuine filmmaker.
