Rome Total War SPQR Mod

Post by Agent Fisher »

Anyone else have this? Any tips? I just got it, started as the Julii and about ten years in, the Gaul come blitzkrieging out of the north, take all but one of my cities. So, now, I have one city, about eight family members and I'm just trying to live.

SPQR rocks, I havn't played much RTW lately but SPQR allways gave me a good fight.

Key is to expand early on till the mountains then to build up.

Seconded. I especially like that you can put your unit size to freaking huge (this option was disabled in vanilla)

Bit of an update. I got to 210 BC, the Brutii are gone, the Gauls and Germans are locked in a war ranging most of the northern territorys. I now control two territories, and the Carthagians have taken the southern part of the Italian pennisula. The Scips have one territory left and I have blocked off the land routes north in Rome and my territories. And the north is blocked off. Though I did get the Marius reforms, which is nice. I have one city that has never been taken, or the walls breached. Its been attacked over two dozen times and it still holds.
