E3 Booth babes to be MIA

We've been blasted for being a little female-exploitative in the past - but sometimes, when we get a story that makes us sad in our hearts, we just have to run it.

You will all, no doubt, be familiar with the E3 games convention. Held in Los Angeles every summer, it's a showcase for the best and brightest in the gaming industry. This year, it will play host to the Nintendo Revolution and the PS3, which should make for an entertaining show.

Of course, E3 is legendary for the large amount of attractive female models hired by games companies to promote their games. Well, this year, they're going to have to think again: any girls in skimpy outfits are going to resort in a $5000 fine for the offending games company.

According to reports, there always has been a 'dress code' at E3 - but it's never been enforced strictly. Well, with the games industry under the spotlight for perceived failings, it seems like the organisers of this year's show are keen to portray it as a serious, business to business event.

Which makes for rather less fun for the rest of us. Ho hum. You can mourn the loss of a gaming tradition over in our forum.
The sad link.

Minus the booth babes what else is there at E3? Besides ending up partialy deaf after a few hours in the show-hall what else is there to distract us? A sad day indeed if it holds true.

Easily. Heck I see many of the game mags calling out for revolt. I'm just trying to wonder beyond the whole "We're clean!!!" are they trying to show. I've been to E3 as a professional...they throw innumerable parties that would make a college blush, and hand out fliers whee you can go to them...but half nekkid chick banning will make them look professional?!

Scary thought:
Adam Sesler deciding to 'take the place' of the Booth Girls.

You know Morgan Webb wouldn't do it.

I believe this is the right thing to do. How can you show your business is serious if it has Hot Babes in Skimpy Outfits all over the place? The only shows that do that are the very amature shows.

Take car shows for instance. They've had Hot Babes in Skimpy Outfits in car shows for years. As a consequence, does anyone take the automotive industry seriously nowadays? I don't think so.

They might just say "Fuck it" and take the fine and hire the boothbabes anyway.

Or arrange it so the boothbabes conform to the dress code so instead of skimpy tube tops and mini skirts they will have be wearing body hugging formal dresses with the high slip on the side.

I suppose you have something backing up your claims aside that shows
you're doing more than pulling them out of your ass?

....

I've been to E3 once on a business level, and damn if the booth babes weren't one of the best reasons TO go....I mean..aside from the games and the hardware....

Ah well...as long as Adam Seesler doesn't do as Tevar has prodicted....all will still be good.

Then just put the babes in classier outfits. I'd still have a perve.

It was satire.
